Uso de grapa trocantérica en reemplazo mega protésico en paciente oncológico

Abstract
Objective: To gather scientific articles with the best level of evidence on the use of trochanteric grip in mega prosthetic hip replacement in oncologic patients. Materials and methods: There was the use of a systematized search to find digital
data sources that emphasized the key research words. The following digital search engines were consulted: Cochrane - PubMed - ScienceDirect, with concise inclusion and exclusion parameters. Results and discussion: Eight articles that met the established study entry criteria were taken into account. Seventy-five percent were case series (CS) and 25% were literature reviews (LR). The CS articles were validated with the MinCir scale with an average of 15.8 points; 87.5% of the studies were of level IV evidence, 12.5% of level III - IV, and 12.5% of level III - IV. Conclusions: There were articles related to the reconstruction of the abductor mechanism in patients who underwent hip replacement (megaprosthesis) with oncological diagnoses, it is worth mentioning that there is little evidence on this procedure. Reconstruction of the abductor mechanism has been performed in
recent years in patients in whom the gluteal and/or vastus lateralis insertions can be preserved after extensive tumor resection. Better results are observed in patients with gastric conservation of the abductor mechanism, young people and previous functionality. In the studies analyzed, a lower percentage of patients with subsequent use of assistive devices for ambulation and a better score on the functional scale are reported.
