Fractura de odontoides: resultados postoperatorios en un centro especializado en columna vertebral
Main Article Content
Abstract
The odontoid fracture is the most frequent fracture in the high cervical spine and an increasing percentage is resolved surgically. We analyzed the evolution of 40 patients with type 2 odontoid fractures (Anderson and D´Alonso classification) in adults, treated surgically in our spine center (CEDEFCO) from 1986 to 2021. Clinical and imaging parameters were analyzed, in the immediate and long-term postoperative period with
a minimum of 10 months of follow-up. Both the results with anterior and posterior surgical approaches were evaluated. In all cases, the clinical and imaging results were satisfactory in short and long term.
