Abstract
Bone grafts are intended to restore the anatomical and functional integrity of bone defects of various causes. The grafts are classified according to their origin in autografts, allografts, isografts, xenografts. Autografts being considered the first choice, because they are the only ones that develop the three mechanisms of bone regeneration simultaneously. Proper management during grafting and extracorporeal manipulation of the graft as well as the choice of the appropriate graft site are also the main determinants of the success of the process. Several studies now show that going hand in hand with the whole process with immunosuppressive therapy greatly increases the survival and acceptance of the graft, but in turn is the main responsible for its most important complication: opportunistic infections. We present the case of a 32 years old man with a diagnosis of a fracture of the distal third distal ulnar superior member. Which was handled clinically and surgically in our Hospital.
