Abstract
Gonarthrosis is a frequent pathology with a high prevalence in adult women, being the most common anatomical deformity the varus knee.
A retrospective study was conducted from January 2014 to December 2017, 228 varus knee patients with 69 years old mean age, 72% women.22.8% of then with a deformity equal or greater than 10°, 7.45% of all the patients had revision prosthetic arthroplasty. This type of prostheses was used in 14 patients with deformities equal or greater than 10°.
This study concluded that knee varus deformity is lesser than 10°. Less than 10% of patients need revision prosthetic arthroplasty, however most of them required other surgery.
