Corrección de antepié reumático mediante procedimiento de Clayton Hoffman: a propósito de un caso

Abstract
The clinical and radiological results of a 60-year-old female patient with a rheumatic forefoot underwent a bilateral Clayton Hoffman procedure who underwent: arthrodesis of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the hallux and arthroplastic resection of the head of the 2nd to 5th metatarsals. The efficacy of the procedure was evaluated through the pre and postoperative comparison of the visual analogue pain scale; radiological parameters: hallux valgus angle, intermetatarsal angle (inter-MTT) 1º-2º and intermetatarsal angle 1º - 5º; the quality of life of the patient by means of the AOFAS (American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society)pre and post surgical scale for both hallux and minor knuckles, to determine the index of the main complications associated with the surgical procedure. In conclusion: Clayton Hoffman surgery is an effective method for treating rheumatic foot, whose satisfaction rates in terms of improving quality of life are very promising
